2021 MLK Scholarships for Graduating Senior Students

If you are a graduating senior from a school in Bexar County and a U.S. Citizen Bexar County resident for one year, here is something to help you pay for your education. The City of San Antonio MLK Commission is happily welcoming candidates to apply for their excellent 2021 MLK Scholarship. Fellows must be a graduating senior from a school in Bexar County to be eligible. Candidates should mandatorily have a minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or equivalent.

The City of San Antonio MLK Commission is looking forward to supporting the education of the students and help them for their educational needs. The Commission understands that completing higher education comes with a lot of financial support and making it possible for the Commission to design these scholarships. The Commission decided to be the backing support of students and encourage them to promote county growth through their brilliant programs.

The San Antonio Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission was established on April 3, 1986, also known as MLK Commission is dedicated to helping the people of the county with different initiatives. The Commission promotes different and the core values they believe like human equality, and the understanding, promoting nonviolence and acceptance of racial harmony, understanding, and goodwill among citizens, all as a way of building community among all citizens of San Antonio and across the United States.

Who May Be Eligible

Follow the requirements given below before applying for the scholarship:

  • Graduating senior from a school in Bexar County and a U.S. Citizen Bexar County resident for one year is eligible.
  • Fellows should be a graduating senior from a school in Bexar County to be eligible. Candidates should mandatorily have a minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.5 or equivalent.

How to Apply

Eligible students should apply for the scholarship by submitting the online application form. All the essential information must be provided through the application. Any incomplete or late submissions done will not be accepted by the Commission. Fellows are responsible for the authenticity of the data they are submitting. No late or incomplete submission will be entertained. Submit your supporting material to:

Supporting Documents

  • Two letters of recommendation. The letters must be written by one from Counselor or teacher of an academic course and one from Your employer, clergy person or extra-curricular sponsor is mandatory.
  • Please submit an official high school transcript to be eligible.

These scholarships encourage students to do better in their careers by maintaining good academic standing. The program motivates students to promote the growth of their county.
