Landmark Students of Recovery Undergraduate Scholarship

College is such an exciting period where students get mixed experiences that stay with them for a long time. Trying to fit in a new environment, making new connections, learning new things, and gaining real-life experience, there are lots of things that a student goes through while he/she is in college. There are also chances for students to fall into bad things during their college time. The main problem which is noticed in most of the students is addiction. Around the nation, hundreds of thousands of students are suffering from addiction while trying to manage their education, social life, and in some cases, part-time jobs. It might be very overwhelming to maintaining balance among all these things when you struggle with addiction. To raise awareness regarding substance abuse among people, Landmark Recovery has established a funding program called “Landmark Students of Recovery Scholarship”.

This financial aid program is open to undergraduate students only. Substance abuse has a huge impact on students’ life. A college is a place where students are away from their parents’ supervision and are most likely to get into these kinds of things. As we know college is a stepping stone in physical, mental, social and career development so it is imperative for colleges to be equipped with tools to overcome the issue of substance abuse and educate their students on same. This scholarship is Landmark Recovery’s way of increasing more awareness about the consequences of substance use and financially assisting students. This organization is interested in knowing the thoughts of students on the same, and that is why it is requiring all the candidates to write down an essay.

The mission of Landmark Recovery is to unlock human potential. It is a team that has passionate, authentic, courageous people who don’t compromise with the pursuit of excellence. This organization has been devoted to assisting people in overcoming their addiction by providing the right treatment. It believes that addiction is overwhelming in many ways but recovering can be achieved if you are determined about it.
