Lakes Region Foundation was founded in 1956 by a small panel of civic leaders looking to support their coterie. Many of Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation scholarship funds are memorials set up by the families when a loved one passes away or from the endowment. Each memorial tells the story of a person who is no longer with us but still helps those they have left supporting.
