The Independent Colleges of Washington has developed the William G. Saletic Scholarship program for students studying in junior or senior of ICW college. As scholarship is based on students’ interest in history and politics, students who are majoring in these studies are welcomed for this program. This program provides an opportunity for students who want to seek education in these fields or related fields. This scholarship was created to honor Mr. William G.Saleticwho was also interested in history and politics. Students need to write an essay on their interest in politics and/or history to qualify for this program.
The students will get selected for awards depending on their application and their written essay where they will describe their interest in history and/or politics and how it will impact their career; the selected applicant will receive the scholarship amount of $1,500which will be utilized for their education-related expenses such as tuition fees, books, and other related materials fees required to pursue their education. This will help students to manage their education fees and requirements, which will lead them to achieve their goals.
The ICW was established in the year 1723 and working on the mission to promote the unique educational opportunities of independent colleges in Washington, the benefits of students attending their “best fit” college, and the value of higher education to the state. Friends, the family created this scholarship, and business associates of William G. Saleticwho was also an active ICW board member for many years and had a great interest in history and politics.

The eligible applicants who want to be a part of this scholarship program should write an essay describing their particular interest in politics and/or history and how it will impact their career choice in about 3000 maximum characters. With this, they must attach a one-page resume in PDF format and an unofficial college transcript including their name visibly printed, course grades, and cumulative college GPA in PDF or JPEG format (a screenshot is also acceptable). The students entering into this program will be selected for awards based on their application and their essay where they will describe their interest in History and politics and how this will impact their career choice. If they are interested in these fields, they can choose a career related to this field. Among all the applications, the best one will be selected for a $1,500 award utilized for their educational purposes, such as managing their tuition fees, books, and other required education-related expenses and fees. This program will motivate students to pursue their education in history, politics, and other related fields and build their careers. This will help them to achieve their financial and career goals.
