Women who are passionate about flying and engaged in an aviation field have a great opportunity to apply for the “Flexjet Aircraft Maintenance Scholarship”. This scholarship program is being conducted by the Women in Aviation International organization. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. maintenance program, and also be U.S. citizen or permanent resident to be eligible for the program.
The Women in Aviation International designed the award to honour women in the aviation field. The organization will provide a good amount to deserving females who are in search of funds to accomplish their higher education. The granted fund will help them to pay for their several expenses related to education.
Women in Aviation International, also known as WAI, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of women in all aviation career fields and interests. Our diverse membership includes astronauts, corporate and airline pilots, maintenance technicians, engineers, air traffic controllers, business owners, educators, journalists, flight attendants, high school and university students, air show performers, airport managers, and many others.

Who May Be Eligible?
Students are required to review the below criteria before applying:
- Meet all WAI scholarship requirements and guidelines,
- Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher,
- The U.S. citizen or permanent resident must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. maintenance programme.
How to Apply

Benefits
A student currently enrolled in an Aviation Maintenance Technician Program (A&P) or degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology will receive a $2,000 scholarship from Flexjet. Candidates will be tested for academic status, personal achievements, teamwork, leadership skills and engagement in community services. The funds will help them to cope up the high-cost expenses needed in completing their degrees.
Application Deadline
Applicants must be a member of Women in Aviation International by November 1, 2020, and may apply for up to three scholarships. Scholarship applications must be submitted or postmarked by November 10, 2020, to get consideration.
