Jenn Ortega and Sierra Jackson, two women of colour are offering The Endurance Scholarship to all students of colour. Students living in the Chicago area continuing their education at a college, university, vocational school or certification program are encouraged to apply for the scholarship.
Jenn Ortega and Sierra Jackson introduced The Endurance Scholarship to provide financial support to the student of colour, experiencing social barriers and are beginning their vocational or collegiate education. The motive of the scholarship is to alleviate further stresses of the students caused by financial hardships.
The founders of The Endurance Scholarship are Jenn Ortega and Sierra Jackson. They both graduated from Middlebury College in 2018. Jenn is a program coordinator at Summer Search, a youth mentoring organization, and Sierra is an independent filmmaker and producer.

Who May be Eligible?
Entrants interested in applying for The Endurance Scholarship must abide by the eligibility criteria-
- Student candidate must live in the Chicago land area.
- The candidate must be a student of colour.
- The candidate must be enrolled in a 2- or 4- Year College or a vocational/ certification program (i.e. electrician trade school, culinary arts school, school of cosmetology, flight attendant school, etc.
- Non-traditional students are eligible.
- The candidate must have a PayPal account to receive funds if selected.

Benefits
The Endurance Scholarship will award the two recipients $500. The scholarship will help the students of colour to achieve higher education. The recipient of the scholarship will be aided with financial benefits to cover up college deposit costs, books, vocation certification fees. The recipient will be able to overcome financial barriers.
Application Deadline
Applications for The Endurance Scholarship must be submitted on December 1, 2020. The applications will not be entertained past the deadline.
