Class of 2021 Legacy Scholarship for High School Seniors

Candidates who have distinct to make a vocation in their field, the Gina Rose Montalto, have organized the Class of 2021 Legacy Scholarship Scholarship. This scholarship candidate must be a high school senior graduating from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. A legacy scholarship encourages a family heritage of managing a particular university and celebrates that heritage with money for college. Most colleges offer some Scholarship for family members of alumni and depending on the university; the legacy scholarship may be open to children, grandchildren, siblings and even nieces and nephews.

Gina Rose Montalto understands the trouble of the fellows and wants to give them a better education by helping them in paying for their needs. This scholarship is offering a better opportunity for eligible students who cannot afford the financial tariff. This is a fantastic chance for them to make their life better. Through this scholarship, every fellow can make their dreams possible.

Gina Rose Montalto was a member at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School of the class of 2021. She was one of the mass shooting victims in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018. To honour her memory and commemorate her graduation year, the Foundation will be awarding one student. This scholarship program is offered with the Stanley G. Tate Florida Prepaid College Foundation.

Who May Be Eligible

Some of the basic eligibility requirements are listed below:

  • To be a part of this scholarship candidate must be a high school senior graduating from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
  • Candidates should verify that he/she was present on the Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school campus in Parkland.
  • Fellows should ascertain that he/she is a current Florida resident and have lived in Florida since April 2020.

How to Apply 

Interested applicants can apply online for the Class of 2021 Legacy scholarship. All the documents must be submitted with the application without any negligence. Students are requested to submit their application before the deadline to be considered for the scholarship.

Supporting Documents 

  • Students must submit an essay of a minimum of 500 words on the following topic: You are a survivor of a tragedy as you go to college and beyond, how will you continue to honour Gina’s legacy of leadership, kindness and compassion.
