Scholarships for Grandchildren of Military Veterans

Veterans’ grandchildren have access to a variety of educational programmes thanks to their grandparents’ valiant service. If you’re the grandchild of a soldier and need help paying for college, you may be eligible for one or more scholarships. Various foundations and organisations, such as the American Legion Auxiliary, the EOD Warrior Foundation, AMVETS, the Seabee Memorial Scholarship Association, and the Second Marine Division Association, sponsor many of the available scholarships. Some, like the University of Baltimore, are also funded by individual colleges.

AMVETS National Scholarship Program

AMVETS is proud to provide scholarships and grants to our country’s Veterans, Active Duty, Guard, and Reserves, as well as their spouses, children, and grandchildren. When all Federal/State college grants/scholarships/grants offered to a qualifying candidate have been used/all means have been used, AMVETS scholarships are intended to cover a funding void. Legionnaire Insurance Trust Scholarships

This scholarship was created to offer financial assistance to a veteran, a veteran’s child, or a veteran’s grandchild who wishes to continue their education. Applicants must expect to attend a Minnesota University, college, vocational school, or other accredited institution of higher education, or a state that reciprocates with Minnesota. Students may receive financial aid to further their education at either Minnesota university, college, vocational school, or other accredited institution of higher education, or in states that have reciprocity with Minnesota. Daniel E. Lambert Memorial Scholarship

The scholarship was created to offer financial assistance to exceptional students who have a veteran parent or grandparent who is enrolled in an approved college or vocational-technical school in Maine. You will also need to submit a copy of the veteran’s certificate of honourable discharge. ALA Department of Texas Scholarship

This scholarship is available to Texas residents who are the children or grandchildren of a Veteran who served in the military. You will need to provide three (3) letters of recommendation: one from the principal or counsellor of the school from which he or she graduated; one from the principal or counsellor of the school from which he or she graduated; and one from the principal or counsellor of the school from a priest of the applicant’s choosing; a letter from a representative resident attesting to the applicant’s patriotism and scholarship. Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship – Oregon

A total of 15 scholarships are available to daughters, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, and great-grandsons of veterans of The American Legion who have served in the military. During his or her high school years, the applicant must complete 50 hours of community service. The receiver company must verify the hours in writing (s) Daughters, sons, grandsons, granddaughters, great-granddaughters, and great-grandsons of veterans who served in the Armed Forces within the eligibility periods for membership in The American Legion are eligible for this honour. Junior Scholarship

This scholarship was created to assist senior high school students in the state of Oregon. The scholarship is intended to help students who are not in high school. Students who are infants, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, or great-great-grandchildren of veterans or disabled veterans are eligible to apply. For the last three years, students must have been Junior members of the American Legion Auxiliary and have a valid membership badge (2015). Erman W. Taylor Scholarship

The scholarship was created to help a descendant of a soldier who received an honourable discharge financially. The scholarship is available to any legal child, grandchild, or great-grandchild of a veteran who is unmarried and under the age of 21. An infant that has been formally adopted A stepchild of a soldier and a resident of the veteran’s shelter, An illegitimate child is a child that is born without the parents’ consent (when necessary proof of relationship is provided).
