Central Michigan University is proud to present generous Merit-based scholarships for fall 2021. U.S. citizens and permanent residents who are graduating high school in 2020 and entering college that fall as freshmen will be awarded these new and exciting scholarships.
Merit-based Scholarship is divided into parts Maroon and Gold Merit Recognition Scholarship. By winning these scholarships, students can get access to a world-class undergraduate education at an affordable cost at Central Michigan University. These awards will be offered to students based on academic success, community engagement, multicultural awareness, and more.
Central Michigan University is a nationally ranked institution for higher learning and located in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. This research-intensive university opened its doors to students in 1892 with the mission of nurturing future leaders through quality education. It provides its students with internationally acclaimed undergraduate, masters, doctoral and professional courses in a variety of fields to choose from.

Who May Be Eligible?
Applicants need to have the following credentials to consider their candidacy for these scholarships:
- Recipients should be U.S. citizens and permanent residents;
- Applicants must be graduating high school in 2020;
- Candidates must be applying for an undergraduate programme in fall at Central Michigan University;
- Scholarships will be awarded based on academic success, community engagement, multicultural awareness, and more.
How to Apply
Incoming freshman students, who have successfully applied for an eligible course to CMU, will automatically be considered for these awards. There is no need to send a separate application for these scholarships. Applicants must submit their application for admission with supporting materials to the university before the deadline.
Benefits
These funding programmes will help students by covering 20–75 percent of tuition for up to four years. The value of these scholarships increases as students’ tuition increases for higher-level courses. Through these scholarships, students can fund their undergraduate level education at Central Michigan University without worrying about expenses involved.
