Casualty Actuarial Society is offering the CAS Trust Scholarship Program for the students seeking assistance to obtain higher education. The students currently attending a U.S. or Canadian college or university as a full-time student are welcomed to apply for the scholarship. Scholarships are awarded based on individual merit.
The purpose of introducing the CAS Trust Scholarship Program is to support students pursuing higher education. The scholarship aims to grant financial benefits to the deserving, qualified students. The objective of the scholarship is to further student’s interest in the property, casualty actuarial profession and to encourage the pursuit of the CAS designations.
Casualty Actuarial Society, founded in 1914, is a professional association of actuaries specializing in property and casualty insurance based in Virginia, United States. The president of the society is Steven D. Armstrong. The two levels of CAS membership are Associate (ACAS) and Fellow (FCAS).

Who May be Eligible?
The applicant must abide by the eligibility criteria to apply for the CAS Trust Scholarship Program-
- The applicant must be currently attending a U.S. or Canadian college or university as a full-time student.
- The applicant must have sat for at least one actuarial exam by March 31, 2021.
- The applicant must be a member of Student Central.

The CAS Trust Scholarship Program will award eight recipients. Scholarships will range from $2500 to $5000. The scholar will be able to achieve their dream career and pursue higher education with the help of financial benefits. The student will be able to cover up the cost of educational expenses and afford essentials.
To be recognized for the CAS Trust Scholarship Program, the entrants must apply before the application deadline. Applications are due on Wednesday, December 4, 2020.
