5. JHS 67 – Louis Pasteur

J.H.S. 67 – Louis Pasteur is an excellent school with a lot of great infrastructure for sports and academics. This school is the only place to get phenomenal funding because most wealthy families send their kids to this top-rated school.

The highlight of this school is that Spanish is taught from the beginning to take advantage of younger minds being more malleable. The curriculum is rigorous and follows a holistic approach in scrutinising the best out of all the kids in the school.

If you don’t mind a school having less focus on sports and other extracurricular activities and puts its primary emphasis on academics and MATh, then Anderson School is a fantastic choice for you. The school is most recommended by the locals of Queens.

The school is small, but it brings the community together really well. It prepares students really well for high school admissions, and I truthfully think that it will be super helpful during the early years for a student. They have great programs and experiences, especially for the kids in K-4.

One of the finest schools in Rockaway park is the Scholars’ Academy. The school is more popular for its first-class high school coaching, but the middle school is no way less. According to state test scores, 92% of students are at least proficient in math and 93% in reading.

The school maintains a fantastic record of balancing the student-teacher ratio at 16:1, which is more important for middle school students. Although the academic opportunities were promising, this school often gave more challenging classes to students that had high grades/averages from the start, allowing very few progressing students to enhance their resumes and somewhat lacking in the college readiness department.

9. Queens College School for Math, Science & Technology

If you are located near Flushing, I would highly recommend Queens College School for Math, Science & Technology, which is considered to be one of the greatest schools for academics. The only complaint is the school stresses kids a lot with their academic pressure.

This is a unique school with a good academic curriculum, and teachers and students are focused on learning for all students. They can focus because this is a small school with less than 500 students for elementary school and middle school in total.

10. 30th Avenue the School

Located in Astoria, 30th Avenue, the School (G. & T. Citywide) is a highly rated middle school that has phenomenal teachers who will constantly help the kids to shine, and also they care about the students a lot. It is a community-driven school. It has 542 students in grades K-8 with a student-teacher ratio of 18 to 1.

The teachers have high standards for academic achievement but are also nurturing and help to build positive relationships in which kids learn how to appropriately and respectfully communicate with each other. I would highly recommend this top-rated school.
