Every year, in memory of beloved member Anna Coit, the North Stonington Garden Club offers a $1500 Scholarship to a high school senior student who is pursuing a higher education degree in agriculture, conservation, environmental studies, horticulture, landscape design/architecture, plant science, or a related field is being awarded. They believe in helping the students seek and demonstrate great interest in this field and become idols for the young generation pursuing a career in this field.

Who May Be Eligible

The Candidate should meet the following criteria to be eligible:

  • The applicant must be having good academic performance.
  • The student must be planning to enrol in for degree or higher education in Agriculture, Conservation, Environmental Studies, Horticulture, Landscape Design/Architecture, Plant Science, or a related field.
  • An accredited college or university should accept the applicant.
  • The applicant must be involved in extracurricular activities.

How to Apply 

Submission should be made before the due date, with all the valid information mentioned in the application and all the documents attached. The application should be sent by should be sent via email at info@nsgardenclub.org.

Supporting Documents 

Kindly note down the mandatory documents :

  • The applicant must submit the filled application
  • The student should provide proof of acceptance by an accredited college or university.
  • The fellow must provide a photo.
  • The fellow must submit two letters of recommendation.
  • Applicant must answer the question asked in the application:
  1. Explaining what prompted them to pursue studies in this field.
  2. Describing a project that they have worked on related to enhancing the environment, or to beautify the community.

The provided scholarship must be used to pay students’ academic requirements like tuition, fees, and other related expenses.
