American Ground Water Trust $2000 College Scholarships

To provide a helping hand to those students who are planning to pursue a career in the field of groundwater, American Ground Water Trust has made available scholarship programs for 2021. There are up to three funding opportunities open for students who intend to establish a career in the groundwater field. These funding schemes are Baroid Scholarship, Thomas M. Stetson Scholarship, and Flexcon Industries Scholarship. These programs are named after their sponsor. However, these offers have the same award amount which $2,000 and moreover there is no additional requirement for these programs. You can apply for and avail of any of these three scholarships if you are an entry-level college student intending to pursue a career in the field of groundwater.  

The main focus of this program is on nurturing trained specialists in this field who can ensure that America continues to maximize the environmental and economic benefits of its groundwater resources. The payment award amount of $2000 will directly be made to the college of winners. Apart from this, all the successful candidates might be asked to travel to a national or regional groundwater conference or meeting to be publicly presented with their award certificates. The best part is that American Ground Water Trust will cover expenses associated with travel and attending the conference. Interested candidates can register for this program until July 30, 2021.

American Ground Water Trust has been working toward ensuring the availability of groundwater resources. The main aim of this organization is to communicate the environmental and economic value of groundwater and promote efficient and effective groundwater management.

Who is Eligible?

Meeting these rules is mandatory for all interested applicants:

  • Students must be entering their freshman year in a full-time academic program of study at a four-year accredited university or college located in the United States;
  • Applicants must intend to pursue a career in a groundwater-related field;
  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA in high school;
  • The college/university selected for study must offer appropriate courses;
  • The applicant must either have completed a science / environmental project at high school which directly involved groundwater resources or, have had vacation / out of school work experience that is related to the environment and natural resources;
  • Applicants must be US citizens or legal residents of the United States.

Benefits

There are three scholarships each of $2,000 available for students. Payment of the scholarship award is made directly to the college. At the expense of the American Ground Water Trust, scholarship recipients may be asked to travel to a national or regional ground water conference or meeting to be publicly presented with their award certificates.
