If you are interested in leadership, you should give a try to this authentic Youth program by Somerset County, where you will be trained through various community leaders, discussion, small group challenges, and interactive programmings such as site visits or walking tours held every Saturday from September. The organization works to provide extracurricular experiences to the students and familiarise them with the outside world.
They aim to let students have new experiences and get different knowledge corresponding to books and build confidence in them. They encourage the students to focus on the environment, mental health, law enforcement, emergency response, housing, economic development, recycling, local government, justice, healthcare, and culture.
Somerset County is one of America’s oldest counties; Somerset is involved in colonial and Revolutionary War history. The county was founded by the charter on May 22, 1688, with land conveyances dating 1651. Historic sites, monuments, and buildings are found in virtually every town, preserved for future generations. To let the students get an intimate experience of these Historical sites, the organization has launched this program.
