The Woman’s Press Club of Indiana is excitingly welcoming students to apply for their incredible 2021 WPCI Hortense Myers Scholarship. Fellows should commit to continuing his/her education in journalism, intending to earn a degree to be eligible for this scholarship. This scholarship will fill the students with enthusiasm toward their education.
This scholarship is mainly created to reduce the educational expenses stress on the students by helping them with their academics. The funds will reduce the students’ stress and encourage them to do better in their academics through this scholarship. The process of scholarship simple and makes education accessible for all.
The Woman’s Press Club of Indiana was founded in 1913 is a nonprofit organization of media professionals in communication with members working in journalism, public relations, media education, digital media and publishing, among other areas. The foundation has a charter member and is a current affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women. The club has taken major steps to help the residents of Indiana grow in their careers.

- Applicants must be committed to continuing his/her education in journalism, intending to earn a degree to be eligible.
How to Apply
Candidates can find the application on the website and should download it from there and fill it with all the necessary information. Applicants should check the list of materials required in support of their application. Any late submissions done will not be accepted. Supporting Documents
- An official transcript through the fall semester of the junior year, at least one but not more than three letters of recommendation from school and/or work adults (teachers, counsellors, administrators, club sponsors, bosses, etc.) must be submitted.
- A narrative essay of 150-300 words, written by the applicant, telling the scholarship/ award committee about an experience he/she has had that helped influence his/her decision to major in journalism should be submitted.
Benefits
One student will be selected to award the scholarship of $1000. This amount should only be used to pay the students’ academic requirements like tuition, books, and other associated needs. Applicants will encourage students to achieve their academic and career goals by helping them with financial needs.
