World Food Forum Youth Art Contest: The One Health Future We Want

FAO, with the generous support of the World Food Forum, has brought an excellent program into existence for students with artistic skills. This youth art contest, “The One Health Future We Want,” is an exciting opportunity for young learners to showcase their talent on such a big platform and gain recognization. Entrants of this program should be national of FAO member country. This youth art contest is calling students from around the world to avail themselves the chance to express their thoughts on how the future health that would work for humans, animals, and the environment should look like. This program requires that candidates belong to an FAO member country and be between 21 and 30 years. Moreover, an ideal applicant should be enrolled in a degree program or recent graduates within three years after graduation from a degree program.

We all have witnessed the harsh time that COVID brought for us. The last two years have been a period that we never imagined. Economic and social disruption caused by pandemic has been devastating for all of us. Most of us lost our jobs, loved ones, and the environment we used to live in. Because of the challenges that the pandemic threw on our way, tens of millions of people around the world are at the risk of falling into extreme poverty, losing their mental health and financial stability. Keeping this situation in mind, FAO, together with World Food Forum, has organized this program that will promote health goals that need to be set to prevent future problems like Corona. The artwork, whether it is slam poetry, songs, or skit performances, can be submitted through the online portal of the World Food Forum.

FAO is also known as the Food and Agriculture Organization that works under the supervision of the United Nations. It has been dedicated to leading the efforts taken to defeat the huger around the world. The purpose of this organization is to achieve food security for all and make sure that everyone around the globe has access to enough quality food on a daily basis to lead healthy, active, and happy lives.

Who is Eligible?

Applicants must be Nationals of FAO members, between 21 and 30 years old, enrolled in a degree program, or recent graduates within three years after graduation of a degree program, are invited to join the competition.

How to Apply?

To enter this contest, applicants will have to fill out an online application form that should incorporate all correct and complete information. They can submit their completed form along with pieces of artwork that can be slam poetry, songs, or skit performances via email to One-Health@world-food-forum.org. Benefits

The winners will get unique perks from monetary to a chance to gain recognization and experience. Apart from this, they will be granted an internship opportunity with FAO’s One Health team and will get to support global advocacy efforts to achieve optimal planetary health. Moreover, the creative artworks submitted will be further utilized as One Health advocacy tools when addressing high-level policy-makers.
