The Wisconsin Library Association is happily welcoming candidates to apply for the Diversity Scholarship. African American, Latino or Hispanic, Asian or Pacific Islander or Native American or Alaskan Native descent student who has been admitted to a master’s degree program in library and information science at a Wisconsin school for the coming academic year are eligible to apply.
The goal of the program is to offer equal opportunity to everyone. The association is willing to defray the load of the expenses on the candidates and encourage them to do better in their academic and benefit the library major through their knowledge and excellence. The scholarship aims to reduce the financial burden from the candidates who are struggling. This is a special program for underrepresented students.
The Wisconsin Library Association or WLA is the association that inspires, advocates and engages the library professionals and the students who are passionate towards their dream of being a library professional. They encourage the members to involve in their various units and support their mission. They understand the delicateness of the current situation of minorities in the nation and are motivated to improve it.

Benefits
