Are you a media enthusiast? If you are eager to achieve your career goals in media, then The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Foundation is keen to help you with some funds. The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Foundation is pleasingly offering candidates the worthy Student Scholarship Program to ultimately relieve the students’ financial burden. Students enrolled in public or private colleges/universities in media-related educational programs, broadcast/media classes, and Wisconsin Technical Colleges are welcome to apply.
The program’s purpose is to support the students who are struggling to complete their higher education in media. The scholarship’s primary goal is to expand the field of media and make it possible for students to achieve their career goals in the field and develop the field with their knowledge and excellence. This scholarship provides some financial support of the deserving students and intending to encourage them to do better in their academic careers.
WBSD is a secondary school radio station licenced to serve Burlington, Wisconsin, USA, owned by the District School of the Burlington Area, operated by Burlington High School staff and students. WBSD broadcasts the music format for an alternative group adult album (including “Triple-A”). The first broadcast of the WBSD was on April 7, 1975, under the leadership of Director General and Radio Instructor Terry Havel.[5] Havel was honoured for his contributions on WBSD and in Wisconsin in 2008, shortly after becoming general manager of WBSD, with an introduction to the Superior General of Wisconsin Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

Who May Be Eligible?
Please check the requirement mentioned below to know more about eligibility:
- Studies in media or media-related subjects can apply to students who complete at least half in their degree or graduation requirements.
- Apart from being designated by the Foundation Board of WBA, applicants must attend a higher educational institution in Wisconsin.
- Graduated students with high school degrees in Wisconsin.
- Applicants must be planning a media career that includes audio, visual, and digital/social media platforms.
- Previous WBA scholarship winners are not eligible.
- The David L. Nelson Scholarship is intended for juniors and seniors who demonstrate financial need.
How to Apply
Only the eligible candidates should begin the application process. Please submit all the required details and information with caution in the application form. All the required materials should be presented with concern. The firm will entertain no late applications. Fellows should adequately provide all the assignments or documents to verify their eligibility.

Benefits
The Foundation of Wisconsin Broadcasters provides two $2,000 bonds and two $1,000 bonds to support students. The amount should be utilized to pay education-related expenses like tuition, fees, and other verified needs. The scholarship encourages students to do better in their academics and expand media fields through their talent and knowledge.

The deadline for application is 4 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2020. The WBA office must receive all applications by this date and time. Late applications will be rejected.
