Do you know about the Western Governors’ Association Celebrate the West Art Competition? If you are a high school student from the 19 Western states or three U.S. territories, you should know more about this competition. The Western Governors’ Association is excitingly welcoming candidates to apply for their excellent 2021 Celebrate the West Art Competition. Fellows should be a high school student of 3 U.S territories or 19 western states whose Governors participate in the bipartisan WGA to be eligible for this competition.
The Western Governors Association wants to help the students with their educational expenses by awarding them a scholarship and rewarding them for their creativity and excellent skills. The association understands the students’ financial difficulties, and for reducing and encouraging them to focus on their academics, this competition is created. The competition is extremely easy to access for all the students to participate.
The Western Governors Association engaged in improvising mainly the areas of Agriculture, air quality, economic development, environment, forest and rangeland management, mining, natural resource development, spices management, transportation, wildfires, water, healthcare and many more to promote the development of the country. The association comes up with different programs to promote growth and increase the standard of living.

Who May Be Eligible?
Take a look at the requirements given below before applying for the program:
- Fellows must be high school student of 3 U.S territories or 19 western states whose Governors participate in the bipartisan WGA to be eligible.
- High school students from Alaska, American Samoa, Arizona, California, Colorado, Guam, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Northern Mariana Islands, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming are welcome.
How to Apply
Interested students should apply to participate in the competition by submitting the requirements before the deadline. Please download the application and complete it with all the mandatory information. Any late or incomplete applications will lead to rejection. Candidates should submit a digital copy of their application via email to WGAart@westgov.org. Please strictly follow the deadline.

- Application with two-dimensional artwork inspired by their state or informed by living in the West is mandatory.
Benefits
Three-level candidates will be selected to award the scholarship of the differing amounts as follows:
- First: $1,500
- Second: $750
- Third Place: $500
Finalist selected at the state level will win $200.
