The University of the Incarnate Word is honoured to provide financial support to qualified students through its wonderful scholarship programs. These funding programs are merit-based and renewed for up to four years as long as participants maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0. There is no separate application process for these programs. Candidates will receive these awards upon admission. These scholarships intend to make the university more affordable for high achieving students who have done hard work and made accomplishments during their previous education. The university will award these opportunities to all its first-year undergraduate students with a good academic record.
There are currently seven wonderful merit scholarships available for first-year students. With these merit-based funds, the University of the Incarnate Word is looking forward to nurturing the talents and prepare the new leaders who can contribute to society and lead challenging roles in any field. By covering the cost of pursuing higher education, these programs will help truly deserving students free from their financial pressure and take their educational journey to the next level. The University of the Incarnate Word wants to make sure that no students need to take loans and do part-time jobs to make money to pay for their college. Doing part-time jobs consume time that students can use for studying or taking advantage of the vast amount of experiential learning opportunities.

Who May Be Eligible?
Entrants who meet the following criteria will be selected for these scholarship programs:
- Candidates should be first degree-seeking undergraduate students at University of the Incarnate Word;
- Applicants must hold a good academic record.
How to Apply
There is no need to send a separate application for these scholarships. All interested aspirants will automatically be considered for these scholarships as part of their admission application process. Selection will be based on a holistic evaluation of students’ application for admission.

- Transfer scholarships – $10,000 – $15,000 per year
- Catholic High School Award – $2,000 per year
- Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship – $2,000 per year

- Central/South American Scholarship – 20% tuition discount
- Endowed Scholarship – Educational fund
Application Deadline
Applicants are advised to submit their application by February 1, 2021. As there is no separate application process for scholarships, all the applications must be submitted before or on this admission deadline.
