To support you in your career, the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) Foundation is implementing the Four-Year Undergraduate Degree Scholarships across the US.
The program is open for the High school seniors enrolling in or undergraduates currently attending an accredited post-secondary educational institution in pursuit of a four-year degree in any field of study.
Who May Eligible
For being eligible for the program, applicants must:
- High school seniors enrolling in or undergraduates currently attending an accredited post-secondary educational institution in pursuit of a four-year degree in any field of study may apply
- Other specific criteria including first-generation college students, Native American students, leadership, financial need, resiliency, residency in certain communities, and degrees in business, education, science, technology, engineering, and math.
- Be a permanent resident (366 consecutive days+) of Northern New Mexico in Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, or Taos County
- Have a minimum 3.25 cumulative unweighted grade point average
- Receive 18 ACT Composite score or 940 SAT Total score
- Are enrolling in or currently attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution
How to Apply
Applicants have to fill the online application form with required documents such as:
- An official high school academic transcript(s), including grades for the first semester of senior year
- High school applicants should include transcripts from post-secondary institutions from which concurrent credits have been earned
- College freshmen must include both an official copy of their high school and current college transcripts.
- A copy of SAT or ACT scores
- Two letters of recommendation
- An essay of approximately 250 words describing personal objectives in pursuing a college degree
- An essay of approximately 250 words describing involvement in service and leadership activities
Benefits: Students will get the amount ranges from $1,000 to $20,000
