United Way Pembina Valley Youth Post-Secondary Scholarships

If you are a graduating student, who is involved in community service leadership and social awareness. Here is a great opportunity just for the students like you! The United Way Pembina Valley is here to push the students involved in their community for social awareness and leadership and show great interest in the welfare of the community. They are interested in building brilliant and active students who will warmly work for their community.

United Way Pembina Valley aims to provide education for the deserving student who can change the community. The United Way Pembina Valley mainly focuses on eliminating poverty from the community, assisting the students who believe in accomplishing the peak, and demonstrating their excellence and building a healthy community. To accomplish their goal, which can be only established by encouraging more members to cohort their thoughts.

United Way Pembina Valley helps students from Morden Collegiate Institute, Garden Valley Collegiate, and Northlands Parkway Collegiate high school to increase their interest in the academic and the development of the community. United Way Pembina Valley understands that only being good in academics is not enough to be utilizing that knowledge for the development of the community is also important. For the students who have already demonstrated their interest in leadership and social awareness voluntarily. They are providing a scholarship of $1000 for pursuing their career to be graduates.

Who May Be Eligible

Students are requested to go through the eligibility criteria before applying;

  • The student should demonstrate a commitment to volunteer work and leadership.
  • Applicant should demonstrate social awareness and must be involved in community service.
  • The student must demonstrate financial need and plans for their funding of post-secondary education.
  • Student must be planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution.

How to Apply 

Applicants must apply via email at unitedwaypembinavalley@gmail.com or mail it to United Way Pembina Valley Box 758 Morden, Man. R6M 1A7 before being too late for the submission. An incomplete application will not be considered.

Supporting Documents 

Kindly submit the mentioned documents along with the application:

  • The student should submit the Completed Application Form.
  •  Applicants must provide Two Personal References.
  •  The fellow must provide the Copy of the latest Academic Transcript.
  • The fellow must submit the Signed Acknowledgement and Authorization.

Benefits

These scholarships will reduce the burden of the expenses of the students. The amount should only be used for other expenses other than paying the freight of the students’ expenses like tuition, fees, books, and other students’ requirements. These scholarships encourage students to achieve their goals overcoming all obstacles. A scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to the student.
