Who May Be Eligible
To be eligible, the applicants must match all the following criteria:
- Participants must be enrolled in a high school based in one of the following locations: Alaska, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Idaho, North Dakota, Oregon, Washington, South Dakota and Wyoming;
- Aspirants must maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or better;
- Aspirants must have plans to attend college after graduation.
How to Apply
To be considered, you need to write an essay in 650 – to 800 – a word about a personal encounter you, or someone you know has had with drug and alcohol abuse. In your essay explain how the situation was dealt with, what you learned from it, what others can learn from the experience, and what was right or wrong.
