SWE Scholarships

Applications are currently available to apply for the scholarships offered by Society of women engineers. The program is open for female candidates who are an undergraduate or community college students and planning to study an ABET-accredited program related to engineering, technology or computing.

The award is introduced with a purpose to motive and help female students to achieve more in their lives. Every year the SWE scholars receive an adequate amount through the scholarships for the accomplishment of their dreams and goals.

SWE works as an organization which has provided women engineers with a unique place and voice within the engineering industry. It focuses on empowering women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders.

Who May Eligible?

Candidates are asked to go through some necessary requirements to get considered for the scholarship:

  • Must identify as a female or woman.
  • Must be an undergraduate or community college students who must be planning to study an ABET-accredited program in engineering, computing, technology in the upcoming academic year.
  • Masters and PhD candidates must be enrolled or accepted at a school with ABET-accredited programs in engineering, computing, or technology.
  • Must be planning to attend full time (exceptions are made for reentry and non-traditional applicants).

How to Apply

Applicants are required to register to create a login and password which will be used to enter the online application system.

Rules:

  • Must provide some necessary information to get considered
  • Transcripts must be in English. See below for more details.

Benefits

SWE has distributed nearly 260 new and renewed scholarships valued at more than $810,000 for the year 2019.

Application Deadline

The freshmen applications are open till March 1, 2020 – May 1, 2020, and reference letters due by May 8, 2020.
