Soroptimist International of Los Angeles is proud to re-open its excellent fellowship program for talented female graduate students. This program will provide financial support along with the chance to gain practical work experience for aspiring women out there. Entries for this annual fellowship are invited from students attending graduate school in Los Angeles County, California. There is no requirement to be a student of any particular study field. Students from any study area can take part, and be benefited equally. This fellowship has been made available for the academic year 2021-2022.
For this fellowship, preference will be given to those who have high financial need and have been dedicated to contributing to the betterment of a community through volunteer efforts, with particular attention to the betterment of women and girls. Selected applicants will get $3,500 as an award amount. To participate, aspirants will have to download and complete an application form that must be sent to the organization along with transcripts and letters of recommendation. Three letters of reference are highly required. Candidates will have to go through a personal interview if they are selected as a finalist. The interview will occur on January 30, 2022, and the winner of the program will be declared in February 2022.
Soroptimist International of LA is a club whose members are international organizations of professionals and businesswomen committed to improving the lives of women and girls with a focus on the Los Angeles Downtown communities. The members of this organization work with other associations with the motive of making available support and resources for unprivileged women in the area.
