Social Influencer Micro-Scholarship Program

Animal lovers have a wonderful chance to show their love for pets and win funds for their college. The K9 Carts is introducing its Social Influencer Micro-Scholarship Program for this year. The students indulged in the study of veterinary medicine or a related field are cordially invited.

The program is created to inspire the next generation of animal lovers and also help them in achieving higher and quality education. The applicant best describing his/her love for animals will be handed over funds for their studies’ purpose.

K9 Carts was started in the 1960s and is dedicated to serving handicapped pets and their owners. It makes wheelchairs that work and is all custom- built to pet’s measurements and come with a one-year warranty against defects or broken parts.

Who May Eligible?

Students are asked to review the mentioned guidelines before applying for the program:

  • Candidates must be enrolled at an accredited university or college in the U.S.
  • Must be engaged in the study of veterinary medicine or related field
  • Students must have a minimum of 2.50 GPA
  • Open for undergraduate and graduate levels.

How to Apply

The complete application with the response of the essay should be emailed to scholarship@k9carts.com with the following information below. Eligible students are also required to answer a short online survey to apply to the program.

Supporting Documents

  • Must create a YouTube video highlighting your volunteer work or community service and also illustrate the leadership role and the impact it has on the community you work with.
  • Must provide the link of YouTube video, also make it available to be viewed by the public, and mention a well thought out and thorough video description with a link back to K9carts.com.
  • Your cover letter should include your full name, school, year in school, email address, phone, list of community, social media, Facebook, Instagram, twitter, youtube, Snapchat, blogs.
  • Please answer one of the following essay questions. Essays should be no more than three pages.
  • Essay Prompt 1-Studies have shown there are countless ways a veterinary practice can benefit from understanding human psychology. Critical areas of psychology that directly link to the well-being of pets include proper education for human caregivers on pet health maintenance, managing pet illness, and end-of-life care. As a future veterinarian, how will you incorporate human psychology into your practice? What do you feel will be the biggest challenge when interacting with human caregivers?
  • Essay Prompt 2- A recent pattern in the veterinary industry is the corporate buy-out of individual practices and recruitment to work in corporate veterinary hospitals. As a future veterinarian, what pros and cons do you see emerging in the quality of pet care if individual vet practices continue to get bought-out by veterinarian hospitals? Would you want to work in a corporate-owned animal hospital? Why or why not?

Benefits

K9 Carts is sponsoring a $1,000 scholarship for students entering the field of Veterinary Medicine. The recipient will be getting support to cover up his/her educational expenses such as tuition, fees, books, etc.
