The Battle of Badges Scholarship Fund was established by the Berks County Community Foundation to provide financial assistance to Graduating High School seniors, who are children of active Police Officers or Firefighters serving in the City of Reading, or those who are children of retired or deceased Police Officers or Firefighters who once served in the City of Reading.

If you wish to apply for this scholarship, you must be willing to pursue your higher studies from Vocational or Technical Schools, or Colleges and Universities, with an aim to get enrolled in two or four-year programs. Maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is a must. You can directly apply for this scholarship from the “Scholarships + Grants” section, the application process shall begin from January, 1st 2022.

Edward T. and Mary A. Conroy Memorial Scholarship Program & Jean B. Cryor Memorial Scholarship Program

This scholarship is especially for students who are currently enrolled as High School seniors, Undergraduates, and Graduates, in part-time or full-time degrees of their choice. Students who wish to apply for this scholarship must be enrolled in Maryland College or University and must be the child stepchild, or the surviving spouse of a member of the United States Armed Forces who died as a result of Military Service or has been permanently disabled. The families of survivors or deceased of the 2001 Terrorist Attack, Vietnam Conflict, and Line of Duty are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
