Scholarships for Community College Students

Is it possible for community college students to receive grants to help pay for their education? Yes, absolutely! Per year, over 400,000 community college students receive more than $800 million in private grants to help them pay for their education. Around a fifth of all college scholarships are awarded to community college students, and they receive more than a tenth of all scholarship dollars.

Community college applicants can be eligible for additional grants simply by applying. Since they are much more likely to pursue and qualify for scholarships, students at four-year universities are three times more likely to receive college scholarships than students at community colleges.

Community colleges are frequently a good alternative to four-year universities and colleges. They are most likely to be close to home, have cheaper enrollment than most public universities in the state, and most community colleges provide outstanding educational options in a number of majors and career training programs. In certain ways, two-year programs and Associate Degrees can be transferred easily to four-year programs later on, until you’re more confident of what you want to do. And in order to help you achieve that, here is a concise list of 10 scholarships to get you started!
