Sandhills Cattle Association Scholarships 

If you are a child or grandchild of a current member of the Sandhills Cattle Association, then how can you miss this finance? The Sandhills Cattle Association is proudly offering their outstanding scholarships for the students, positively influencing the students’ lives. Candidates should be undergraduates carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester to be eligible. Graduating high school seniors and currently attending or planning to attend college or vo-tech school during the next school year are eligible to apply. Fellows planning to attend a junior college, community college, or vo-tech school may be given priority.

The Sandhills Cattle Association has created these scholarships to reduce the students’ educational expenses associated with the association as their closed ones are members of the association. The association understands the expenses needs of students which stops them from completing higher education. The association wants the students to have a robust career in their fields of study through such programs. There are different scholarships available for different educational levels.

The Sandhills Cattle Association is working towards Sandhills’s growth, which is the most beautiful greeny covered area stretch across Nebraska and South Dakota. The association started in the late 1930s and since then working towards the areas and the animals. The association assist with the purchase and sale of Sandhills cattle in the same area. The association is involved in the growth of society through various programs too.

Who May Be Eligible

Every program has varying requirements. The basic need is mentioned below, which mandatory for all programs:

  • Fellows must be a child or grandchild of a current member of the Sandhills Cattle Association to be eligible.
  • Candidates should be undergraduates carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester to be eligible. Graduating high school seniors or students currently attending or planning to attend college or vo-tech school during the next school year are eligible to apply.
  • Fellows planning to attend a junior college, community college, or vo-tech school may be given priority.

How to Apply 

Students don’t need to submit separate applications; only one application submitted is enough for the scholarships. Candidates should submit the online application with all the mandatory information and supporting documents to be accepted for the scholarships. Any late submissions did, or the association will not entertain late applications provided. The recommendation letter can be mailed (in a sealed envelope) to the Sandhills Cattle Association office or emailed directly.

Supporting Documents 

  • Submit a copy of the most recent transcript and a sealed letter of recommendation with the application or email/mailed directly from the reference to the office.

Benefits 

All the programs have varying benefits. Some of them are mentioned below:

  • SCA Scholarship: Five scholarships will be awarded. Two $2,000, one $1,500, and two $1,000 scholarships.
  • Howard Wright Memorial Scholarship: One (1) scholarship will be awarded for $500.
  • Duane Pelster Memorial Scholarship: One (1) scholarship will be awarded for $1,000.

Application Deadline 

Applications should be submitted before March 12, 2021. After this date, no submissions will be accepted.
