RiverView Recovery Centre Scholarship

The RiverView Foundation is delighted to announce that they are offering a RiverView recovery center scholarship which is established by the Glenmore foundation board. The scholarship program is designed to support area students in their desire to further their education in healthcare and create opportunities for career advancement. The purpose of offering this scholarship is to provide advanced training for professional development to students seeking a degree or licensure in the field of addiction studies, addiction counseling, co-occurring disorder treatment, or mental/chemical health fields.

RiverView Health is preparing these professionals for serving the therapeutic needs of individuals and families suffering from the disease of addiction. Preference will be given to the students who are intending to work further in the NW Minnesota region. The following scholarship will be available annually as long as sufficient funding is available. Recipients are allowed to reapply annually.

Riverview Foundation is a non-profit organization whose aim is to protect and distribute charitable funds and resources on behalf of RiverView health. Their ultimate goal is to deal closely with the donors and help them in developing lasting relationships while facilitating the donor’s philanthropic objectives. Their job is to connect these donors with those who are in need.

Who is Eligible?

Following are the eligibility requirements that need to be satisfied for participating in the following scholarship contest:

  • The applicant must be a high school graduate
  • The applicant must be seeking a degree or licensure in the field of addiction studies, addiction counseling, co-occurring disorder treatment or mental/chemical health fields.

The interested individuals are required to fill out the application form and submit it. The application form can be availed through RiverView Foundation Office or online at www.riverviewhealth.org.

The application form must be completed by providing all the correct and reliable information and attaching all the below-mentioned documents.

  • A completed application form,
  • Copy of your resume
  • Two (one-page) letters of recommendation

Benefits

All the applications will be reviewed and judged based on their attributes, aspirations, quality of character, and demonstrated commitment to their addiction field of study. Out of all, the most deserving candidate will be chosen and be announced as the winner. The winner will be awarded a one-time scholarship amount of $2,500. The scholarship award cheque will be issued prior to the starting date of the applicant’s next school term. 

Application Deadline

The deadline for application submission for the following scholarship is October 1, 2021. No applications will be considered after the deadline.
