The 3 Rivers Community Foundation is introducing its authentic Richland Fire & Emergency Services scholarships to encourage the deserving students to perform excellently and achieve success. The Richland Fire & Emergency Services was established to help RF&ES firefighters achieve their academic and career goals. Fellows should be enrolled in a degree program (undergraduate through post-graduate) at an accredited college or university, full or part-time with good academic standing.
The aim of this program is to support the students in achieving their career goals and motivate them to do better in their fields of study. The foundation understands that individuals who are willing to complete their education being on work have a lot of dedication and passion towards work. The main goal of these scholarships is to support the candidates who are RF&ES firefighters and passionate about completing their education. The foundation understands it takes a lot of struggle for completing education despite work. To help candidates through it, these scholarships have been initiated.
The 3 Rivers Community Foundation (3RCF) Board of Directors announces the creation of an emergency fund to support nonprofit organizations in Benton and Franklin counties whose programs and services have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The fund had been seeded with $50,000 from anonymous fund holders at 3RCF. Their vision is to be recognized as a trusted philanthropic leader in the local communities we serve through the delivery of quality donor services, impactful grants, and scholarship programs, and bold initiatives that address community needs.

Who May Be Eligible?
Go through the eligibility requirements mentioned below before beginning with the application process:
- The applicant must be an RF&ES firefighter.
- Fellows should be in good standing with the department.
- Candidates should be enrolled in a degree program (undergraduate through post-graduate) at an accredited college or university, full or part-time.
- Applicants should have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
- Applicants should have completed the department’s probationary period.
- The scholarship is not available to members or relatives of the RF&ES scholarship selection committee or employees or families of the Three Rivers Community Foundation.

Supporting Documents
- A letter of recommendation should be submitted.
- Fellows should attach a brief 300 to 500-word essay including a statement about your educational goal, plan to achieve this goal, and intentions for applying education to your current occupation.
Benefits
Three candidates will be selected and awarded with $2000 each. This amount will be utilized to pay the educational expenses of the students like tuition, room, and other verified needs. This scholarship appreciated the dedication of students towards education and motivated them to complete their academic goals. Candidates are encouraged to do better in their academics too.
Application Deadline
The last date to apply for the scholarship program is December 31, 2020. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
