Recognizing Public Servants Scholarship

Students who believe in the importance of public service and public servants have an excellent opportunity to win ‘Recognizing Public Servants Scholarship.’ David Benowitz is calling students who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs to take advantage of this excellent program. First-year college students who are high school graduates or have GED are welcome as well!

This scholarship’s motive is to encourage students for public service and help those considering entering this arena. This opportunity gives students to express their thoughts and opinions on the ‘importance of public servants in our community.’ It encourages them to do better for society.

David Benowitz is a founding partner of Price Benowitz LLP and has served as a high-profile criminal defense attorney for over 20 years. As a criminal defense attorney, the firm has immense respect for public servants and their work. They work extremely hard for the rights of servants.

Who May Be Eligible?

Eligible candidates can only proceed further to apply:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States.
  • Students applying for the first-year College and have already completed high school graduation and have a GED.
  • Candidates must have an interest and experience in public service as a volunteer, professional, and educational experience.
  • Candidates must have an excellent academic status, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.

How to Apply

The application process for the program is easy and straightforward. Applicants must submit their essays and other documents with a completed application (resume and transcript) through email to info@criminalawdc.com.

Supporting Documents

  • An updated resume
  • A current unofficial transcript from the applicant’s school or recent educational College.
  • A 750-1,000 word essay on the topic: ‘Discuss the importance of public servants and public service in our society. Why are public servants, and especially public defenders, important in our legal system?’ Submit your essay with the title: ‘[Applicant’s Name] — Recognizing Public Servants Scholarship’ before the deadline.

Benefits

Winners will receive a scholarship of $1,000 with the best essay that expresses their thoughts with creativity on the importance of public servants and their work. This amount will help them to pay their debts.
