The Percussive Arts Society (PAS) is organizing a Drum Set competition, one of its kind in the US. All the individuals between the age of 18 to 30 years old are invited to participate. You are required to complete your registration and then send a 3 to 10 minutes unlisted YouTube video link. No other formats of submission will be accepted. If you manage to clear the preliminary round, you have to follow the further guidelines for the semi-finals and the final round. All the PAS members are required to pay an entry fee of $20, and the non-members have to pay an entry of $50. The last date to register your entries is November 1, 2021.
The contest is one of its kind in the US, where you get to present your amazing drumming skills to the world. Who is Eligible?
The candidates must satisfy the following conditions for being eligible for the contest:
- The applicant must be in between 18 to 30 years of age.
- The applicant does not necessarily have to be a PAS member.
- Pay an entry fee of $20 (PAS Members), or $50 (non-members)
How to Apply?
For participating, follow the mentioned guidelines:
- For the prelims round, the candidates are required to submit an unlisted YouTube video link, conditions being:
- You have to perform the piece with the trach. No live bands allowed.
- The video can be in any genre.
- The time limit of the video should be 3 to 10 minutes only.
- For the semi-final round, the candidates have to:
- Play to a track.
- Play a drum solo.
- Play one tune with the live band.
- For the finals,
- You have to play to a track.
- You have to play a drum solo.
- You have to play three tunes with a live band.
Benefits
