Peace First 100 for 100 Video Contest

In today time, where societal causes like injustice and inequality are increasing rapidly, addressing these challenges and finding innovative solutions to overcome them seems to be one of the primary responsibilities of us. These issues can easily lead to society to downfall and which is why they need to be addressed and resolved. By the time people are becoming aware of these challenges our society has been facing and taking the needed initiative to root out them. It is seen that the young generation is more concerned about these issues and actively an essential role in removing them. To do its part in finding the solutions for these problems, Peace First has presented an amazing program named “100 for 100 Video Contest”. To become an ideal applicant of this program, you must be between the ages of 13 to 25 to enter and living in the United States.

As a participant of this program, you will have to create an interesting video addressing an injustice that they care about in the United States and suggesting a way to remove that problem. Your idea should be innovation and addressing the injustice that you’ve identified. You will be not expected to solve the problem entirely. What you will be expected is to suggest something that people can do to make a difference. You need to record your video of 60 seconds, addressing any specific issue you identified and suggesting the ways that can help overcome that problem. You can publish your completed video on your TikTok or Instagram account. This program is your opportunity to contribute to making your social problems free and building a better world.

Peace First is a leading organization co-led by young people who are dedicated to educating and empowering people ages 13-25 to contribute to creating a more compassionate and peaceful world by making available digital tools, community support, start-up funding and stories that celebrate their social change journeys and impact. The fantastic part of this organization is that it was formed by teenagers in 1992 at Harvard University with the simple idea of building a better world to live in.

Who May Be Eligible?

Meeting the following requirements is mandatory:

  • Applicants must be currently living in the United States;
  • Candidates must be between the ages of 13 to 25 to enter.

How to Apply

To enter this competition, applicants should create a video of up to 60 seconds. Post it to their public TikTok or Instagram with the tag @peacefirstorg and use the hashtag #Rebuild100. They should tag three friends in the comments.

While creating the video, you should follow the given guideline:

  • Identify an injustice that you care about in the United States.
  • Tell us about the scale of the injustice and who it affects.
  • Share general information about what we can do to address the injustice.
  • Pitch your idea for how we can act to address the injustice now.

Benefits

The first-place winner will get a cash prize of $100, and the top five runners-up will be awarded a $10 UberEats card along with recognition on Peace First’s platform.

All submissions will be featured on Peace First’s international platform, and the winners will get the opportunity to receive up to $250 in mini-grant funding to put their idea into action.
