Who May Be Eligible?
Before applying for this award, applicants should satisfy the following requirements:
- Candidates must be admitted as a freshman in the fall semester into a baccalaureate program at NCCU.
- Aspirants must be United States citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicants must be on course to graduate from high school in the spring semester before college admission.
- Students should have a minimum weighted cumulative GPA of 4.0 or higher.
- Participants must have a minimum SAT score of 1280 or a minimum ACT score of 28.
- Candidates must show exceptional qualities of character and leadership.
- Applicants must be significantly involved in extracurricular activities.
- Participants must demonstrate a strong commitment to service.
How to Apply
First of all, candidates will need to take part in a baccalaureate programme commencing in fall at North Carolina Central University. For this funding scheme, candidates must be nominated by their high school administrator or they may self-nominate. Once their nomination has been completed and reviewed, they will have access to the Cheatham-White Application.
