Non-Need-Based Scholarships

Money awarded to a potential college student for academic achievement or a gift in a particular area such as sports, arts, or music is known as non-need-based aid, also known as merit-based aid. Non-need-based assistance is most commonly provided to students from private businesses, individuals, or the college or university itself, as opposed to need-based aid.

When you don’t have the cash on hand, this aid will either supplement any need-based aid packages or compensate for planned family donations. Non-need-based assistance can, in rare cases, cover the entire cost of your college education.

Here is a list of 10 such scholarships to get you started!
