NFSA and MSFCA together are organizing a Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest. All the kids of grades k-5 can participate in the contest under their age category. For participating, you are required to submit up to three poster designs related to the fire prevention theme on a white construction sheet. Along with your designs, you are required to attach the registration forms and mail your entries to the MSFCA address by December 31, 2021.
Fire Prevention is a very important technique that every individual should know. Therefore, it is important for your child to know the basics to avoid disaster. By participating in the contest, your child will get knowledge regarding the problem and how to avoid it. Also, poster making is a fun activity and your child will be able to improve their art and drawing skills. The winners will be awarded cash rewards which can be exciting for your kids.
Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association is a professional, member-driven organization, dedicated to representing the interests of fire departments, chiefs, command staff, and officers throughout the state. The association is focused on providing for members who are committed to the long-term health and sustainability of the Minnesota Fire Services.

Who is Eligible?
The contest will be held under the following three categories:
- Grades K-1
- Grades 2-3
- Grades 4-5
Note: Each participant can submit up to 3 posters.
How to Apply?
For participating in the contest, you are requested to follow the stated guidelines:
- The posters must be designed on a white construction sheet.
- The size of the poster should range between 12” × 18” and 11” × 17”.
- All the posters must clearly depict the NPFA Fire Prevention Week Theme.
