The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is welcoming students to apply for their postgraduate scholarships. These scholarships are to be availed by both men and women. Athletes of the United States are eligible to apply for the scholarships and avail of the benefits. Undergraduate students who are a member of former NCAA member school are eligible to be nominated for the scholarships.
The NCAA provides up to 126 postgraduate scholarships yearly. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who outshine academically and athletically and who are at least in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. The NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship funds must be used only for expenses associated with graduate courses that apply toward the individual’s graduate degree program. The scholarships are awarded to full-time enrolled students. If a recipient wishes to transfer schools, the scholarship can be transferred as well given the transfer school is in the list of eligible institutions.

Who May Be Eligible
The eligibility requirements are as follows:
- Student-athletes at an active NCAA member institution
- Must complete athletic eligibility
- Must be a final year undergraduate or hold an undergraduate degree
- Cumulative GPA 3.0+
- Excellent athletic performer
- Must enrol into a graduate program within a year of completion of an undergraduate degree
- Must be a U.S. citizen
How to Apply
The applicants must first be nominated by the FAR designee to be eligible to apply. After nomination, the following steps are to be followed. It is to be noted that the application can be saved and edited up until the deadline.
- Log in to the Program Hub at www.ncaa.org/pogramhub
- Click the Applications tab
- Select “Programs I could apply for” from the drop-down list
- Click the Start Registration Application link to the left of the program for which you want to apply
- The application will appear. To submit the application, complete all fields
- Once all fields have been completed, students need to click the Save and Submit button on the bottom of the final page of the application to submit your application

Benefits
The one-time non-renewable scholarships of $10,000 will be awarded three times a year corresponding to each sport season (winter, fall and spring). Each sports season there are 21 scholarships available for men and 21 scholarships available for women for use in an accredited graduate program.
