The Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) is happily inviting students to apply for their excellent Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) Scholarships. Applicants must enrol in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school no later than the fall of 2021 is the criteria for this program.
The Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) has created these scholarships to free students from educational expenses barriers mainly the students who are using their services or are the loved ones of the company’s members. These scholarships are created with the purpose of reducing the load of the educational expenses on the students and the people who are associated of these students and encourage them to achieve success in their respective fields of studies.
The Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) was founded in the 1960s as Missouri Basin Municipal Power Agency (MBMPA). To help municipalities operate on their own electric systems to work together in planning for future power supply needs and solving other mutual problems. Later in 1998, the name was changed as Missouri River Energy Services (MRES), but the foundation’s mission remains the same.

- Fellows should reside in a household receiving electric service from one of the 61 MRES member utilities to be eligible.
- Applicants must enrol in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school no later than the fall of 2021 is the criteria for this program.
- Candidates should be from the electrical technician (field service technician, wind turbine maintenance, power plant maintenance, etc.), electrical engineer or other engineering disciplines, mathematics, science, energy management, or other closely related fields.

Benefits
Scholarship benefits for each program differ. Take a look at amounts given below:
- Full-Time Undergraduate Studies: Up to five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each.
- Students in a Powerline/Lineworker Program: Up to seven (7) scholarships of $1,000 each.
