Who May Be Eligible

- Fellows must be a legal resident of a community that is being served by Mediacom to be eligible.
- Candidates must intend to pursue a course of study at a qualified post-secondary institution and should be accepted by the qualified post-secondary institution while receiving the scholarship.
- Fellows must commence their post-secondary education or training in the first academic year following their senior year of high school to be considered.
- Applicants must be in their senior year of high school, must be high school graduates or persons who have achieved equivalent certification.
- Students completing high school in fewer than the normal four years are eligible to apply.
- Fellows entering a qualified post-a secondary institution in the middle of their senior high school year are permitted to apply the following year.
- Children of directors, officers, employees or agents of Mediacom are not eligible.

- Completed application with your signature and the signature of your school guidance counsellor with a copy of your high school transcript is required.
- Your essay of about 500 words, the references of one educator at your school and one community member, using pages 9 and 10 of this application is mandatory.

Students selected will receive the award of $1000. This amount should be used to pay the students’ educational expenses like tuition, books, room, fees, and other requirements.
