First responders are very valuable for our society as they save the life of others and battle with the challenges firsthand without worrying about their own life. In any devastating situation, we always find them fighting with problems and bringing peace and safety to people. They are the ones who run toward danger while others flee. Their job is more than just a sacrifice and in fact, the sacrifice could be a small word to define what they do for us. In some cases, first responders make ultimate sacrifice of losing their own lives in pursuit of saving someone else’s. Unfortunately, today these soldiers are at the front lines of traumatic injuries and devastating emotional pain and suffering every day. Most of the time they go without the recognization and appreciation that they deserve. They also don’t get the emotional treatment they may need. McCraw Law Group values, respects, and supports these courageous people. To honor them for their superb work, they have developed this “First Responders Scholarship”.
This funding program will be awarded to one student who demonstrates a unique appreciation for and perspective of first responders. This scholarship is worth $1,000 which is to be put toward the education of a deserving student. Applicants who are enrolled in a college, university, graduate, or law school can send their candidature for the same. The applicant should also be in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. To enter this program, entrants will have to pen down an essay of 500-1,000 words discussing the role of first responders in today’s society and how their roles contribute to public safety. The candidate who meets the eligibility criteria and writes down a thoughtful essay will be selected as the winner of this contest.
