Lois Britt Memorial Pork Industry Scholarships

Do you know about the excellent Lois Britt Memorial Pork Industry Scholarship? The National Pork Producers Council is excitingly expecting applications for its exceptional Lois Britt Memorial Pork Industry Scholarship sponsored by National Pork Industry Foundation and CME Group. Candidates should be a United States citizen and current undergraduate student in a two-year swine program or four-year college of agriculture to be eligible for the scholarship.

The National Pork Producers Council has designed this scholarship to motivate the students in swine or agriculture program to do better in their careers. This scholarship was started in the year 1990 by NPPC and CME Group to support the students in honour of Lois Britt, who was the director of the NPPC Board. She was honoured with a number of national awards for her extraordinary work. These scholarships are brought into reality to attract the students towards the Pork industry and support who are already pursuing it.

The National Pork Producers Council dedicatedly maintain the quality of pork being supplied to national and international markets. The council is representing 42 affiliated state associations of the United States. National Pork Producers Council or NPPC is governed by 15 members of boards of directors which manages the relations with markets and other industries and maintain the strong value of the pork industry in the national and international markets.

Who May Be Eligible

Follow the criteria set by the council to be eligible for the scholarship:

  • Candidates should be a United States citizen and current undergraduate student in a two-year swine program or four-year college of agriculture to be eligible for the scholarship.
  • High school students are not eligible.

How to Apply 

Candidates who are eagerly applying for the scholarship should begin the process by submitting all the required details. The council will not accept late applications. Please submit all the requirements along with a cover sheet stating your name, school name, current year in school, contact details without any negligence. All the required information and materials should be submitted to info@nppc.org. Before the deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

Supporting Documents 

  • The letter indicating your plans in the Pork industry.
  • Seven hundred fifty words essay explaining the issues today and in future in the pork industry and solutions to it.
  • Please submit two letters of reference from your current or former professors or industry professionals.

Benefits 

Ten students will be selected and awarded with $2500. This amount must only be utilized to pay the education-related expenses of the students like tuition, fees, books and other verified needs of the candidates. These scholarships encourage students to maintain a good academic record and help students make most of their academics. The scholarship encourages students to complete their dream of achieving success in the pork industry.

Please submit your entry before January 4, 2021. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarships.
