Laurens Electric Cooperative is itself a member-owned rural electric cooperative in Upstate South Carolina.

Here are the requirements you need to follow while applying for the scholarship:

  • Upstate high school students willing to participate in The Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina’s Virtual Youth Experience are eligible.
  • Fellows should be a high school junior or sophomore at and should reside in Laurens, Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Abbeville, Newberry, or Union counties, S.C. to be eligible.
  • Laurens Electric Cooperative’s trustees should not employ the applicant’s parents, guardians, or relatives.

You can also complete the application online without downloading it. All the mandatory supporting materials should be submitted without delay to be considered for a scholarship. Four students will be selected to award this excellent scholarship of $5000 each. The fund should be used to pay for their educational or conference needs.
