It’s time to showcase your artistic skills and earn some adequate funds for your university. The Krylon is taking an excellent initiative of organizing the Clear Choice Art Scholarship for the U.S, and Canada students indulged in visual arts.
The program is introduced to appreciate the artwork done by talented students. The best scholars will also be handed over grants to fulfil their needs related to the higher education cost and expenses.
Krylon Products were established in 1947 as a manufacturer of brush-on clear protective acrylic coatings used in the commercial art business. It is known as the first and still largest supplier of aerosol paints in the world.

Who May Eligible?
The interested applicants may review the eligibility requirements before applying:
- Must be high school seniors (graduating before June 30, 2020) and college freshmen and sophomore students in the U.S. and Canada.
- Must be enrolled or accepted and seeking a degree at a U.S. or Canadian university, college or any art school
- Must be majoring in any visual arts program like painting, drawing, sketching (excluding graphic design, fashion design, interior design, film, music or the performing arts).
- Canadian students must be attending a designated educational institution while enrolled or accepted into a qualifying educational program.
- Employees of The Sherwin-Williams Company and related companies, as well as the immediate family and household members, are not eligible.
How to Apply
Participants can download an application form and mail it to Krylon Clear Choice Scholarship, 101 W. Prospect Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44115, Attn: Sara Vacha.
Supporting Documents
- A copy of official high schools or college transcripts
- A letter of recommendation written from a current or past instructor familiar stating your artistic qualifications
- The Artist’s Statement of 300-500 words including the reasons for wanting to be an artist, why you are seeking this scholarship, what art means to you, what you want to learn, why you are committed to art, and what are your academic and career plans
- The portfolio must contain 3 – 6 images of artwork on a flash drive.
- Portfolios are acceptable on flash drive only – Don’t submit originals as they will not be allowed.
Benefits
The Krylon Clear Choice Art Scholarship includes the below awards:
- Five $1,000 scholarships and a gift package of Krylon Artist Sprays and Adhesives. Besides, the art program at each winner’s school will receive a $500 grant and a large gift package of Krylon Artist Sprays and Adhesives.
- Ten students and their schools will each achieve gift packages of Krylon Artist Sprays and Adhesives.
Application Deadline
The last date provided by the committee to mail your applications is May 31, 2020.
