Kenny C. Guinn Memorial Scholarship for College Students 

The State of Nevada is happily welcoming the students to get their educational needs paid. It has come forth to extend a hand to help with the students’ education. The State of Nevada is inviting the students to apply for the Kenny C. Guinn Memorial scholarship. Fellows must be entering his/her senior or last year of college at an eligible institution to be eligible. Candidates should be enrolled in and remain enrolled in the course of study leading to licensure in elementary or secondary education.

The Kenny C. Guinn Memorial scholarship was created to use this fund of scholarship and free themselves from the financial stresses. This scholarship encourages the fellows towards a better future. This organization understands the problem of eligible students who cannot afford the educational excel. This program motivates the students to work hard towards their goals and make their dreams possible.

The State of Nevada is working wholeheartedly towards the progress and development of the Nevada people with wonderful initiatives. The government is dedicated to severe their people with all the possible initiative and make their lives easy. The main goal is to empower the people and push Nevada’s growth with all the possible majors.

Who May Be Eligible

Here are the needs which makes you eligible for these scholarships:

Candidates must have satisfied the eligibility requirements of the Millennium Scholarship pursuant to NRS 396.930.

  • Candidates should be entering his/her senior or last year of college at an eligible institution1
  • Fellows should be enrolled in and remain enrolled in the course of study, leading to licensure in elementary or secondary education.
  • Applicants should Maintain a college grade point average of not less than 3.5 on a 4.0 grading scale, or a level of academic achievement provided to and verified by the College Savings Board for students enrolled at an educational institution does not calculate the grade point average.
  • They should State a commitment to teaching in Nevada upon graduation.
  • Fellows must have a record of community service.

How to Apply

Fellows must have to download the application form and then have to fill it with correct information and all the supporting documents required for it. This application form should be submitted on time. Late submission will be rejected. Applicants are responsible for providing valid data. Invalid data in the applications will lead to rejection.

Supporting Documents

  • Application with all the essential data must be submitted
  • A resume that includes information about the applicant’s school and community involvement, awards, and achievements is needed.
  • A short essay, transcript and a letter of recommendation should be provided.

Benefits

The maximum award for the selected applicants is to the extent of available funding and will be in an amount not to exceed $5,000 each to pay the educational expenses of the recipient for the next school year. The Kenny C. Guinn Memorial Scholarship must be used only to pay: tuition, registration and laboratory fees and other related expenses and to purchase required textbooks and course materials.

The last date to apply for these scholarships is before April 5, 2021. Fellows must submit the application form before the given date.
