Hospice Visions Incorporated and others announced the Joseph T. Rasch Nursing Scholarship with the goal of helping individuals who are active and motivated to dedicate themselves to the field of nursing. One selected student will receive a $1000 scholarship provided through the funds raised by employees of Hospice Visions, Inc. and Visions Home Health and Visions Home Care, LLC. This nursing scholarship is awarded annually to one or more nursing students for the fall semester, and depending on the availability of funds, additional scholarships may be awarded. Applications will be accepted for the Joseph T. Rasch Nursing Scholarship from March 1, 2021, to April 30, 2021. Applications should be turned in or mailed to the Visions office at 455 Park View Loop, Twin Falls, ID, 83301.
Scholarships are awarded to students who have demonstrated financial needs and academic achievements to back up their application. Sometimes, demonstrating the financial needs is not important, but usually, only students who are unable to pay for the full tuition and education expenses apply for the scholarship. Scholarships are for students who come from poorer financial backgrounds and are in need of a financial source to pay for their college or university. These scholarship awards are a bonus that provides a boost to a student’s college or university application and also job applications as they indicate that the student has academic achievements making them a good candidate to enrol or hire. These students who won scholarships are included in a network where they can communicate with past, present or future winners, and they can stay in touch.

They encompass the psychological, physical and spiritual needs of the patients in a compassionate way to deliver care and support services.

Who May Be Eligible
- A resident or citizen of the state of Idaho for at least one year prior to applying for the scholarship
- A legal US citizen or permanent resident of the US
- Enrolled or about to enrol in a nursing program in Idaho
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can submit their scholarship application along with a copy of enrollment or acceptance letter to an accredited Idaho nursing program, a copy of an Idaho driver’s license or identification card issued by the same state, one letter of professional recommendation and the latest official transcripts which indicates cumulative GPA. All the transcripts must be received by the Visions office directly from the school or issued to the candidate in a sealed envelope, which should remain sealed until it arrives at the Visions office.
