Indiana Rural Health Association has started recruiting candidates for its excellent fellowship program open for 2021-2022. IRHA Fellowship Program makes available a platform where students and professionals work together to understand the policies and programs that impact rural health. This is also a fantastic learning opportunity for students. Fellows will get to learn from people who are professionals as well as put their talent into use to find solutions to today’s challenges. This fellowship is open for undergraduate and graduate-level students. If you are recruited for this program, you will be assigned to a mentor/co-mentor team and a group that will research and develop a policy solution to a rural health issue.
IRHA Fellowship will include monthly one-hour lectures and networking events with the entire cohort. Moreover, during this program, following small groups work collaboratively monthly under the guidance of a devoted IRHA mentor/co-mentor team to nurture a policy project that is introduced via a breakout presentation at the IRHA Annual Conference and delivered in a final presentation to the IRHA board at the conclusion of the fellowship in December. The fellow will be required to work 10 to 15 hours per month. Furthermore, they will have to attend some events, including IRHA 2021 Fellowship Orientation, IRHA 2021 Public Policy Forum, and IRHA 24th Annual Conference.
Indiana Rural Health Association came into existence in 1997 as a not-for-profit organization and since then has gained immense popularity and strengthened its membership. It works toward a simple mission of enhancing the health and wellbeing of the rural population. It is a member-driven organization made of a diverse membership.
