In order to provide support and financial assistance to the students pursuing a career as an emergency medical technician or paramedic, the FAEMSE foundation is offering an EMT and Paramedic Scholarship program. The following scholarship will be given out twice a year, at the January and July meetings of FAEMSE. The January meeting is associated with the Fire Rescue East conference in Daytona Beach, Florida and the July meeting is associated with the ClinCon Conference in Orlando, Florida.
The following scholarship is open to the students who are enrolled in an accredited university or college for the academic year 2021-2022. The FAEMSE will award the winners with EMT Scholarships of $250 and Paramedic Scholarships of $500. The scholarship amount will directly be transferred to the students and can be used as the student chooses. The applicants are required to attend an approved Florida Training Center. The link to the list of Florida Training Center is given on the scholarship portal. The deadline for the January (2022) meeting is December 1, 2021, and the July meeting is May 21, 2022.
Florida Association of Emergency Medical Services Educators (FAEMSE) is a member-based organization formed to provide resources to individuals and other organizations that will foster excellence in EMS education and training. FAEMSE ‘s activities are being controlled and managed by its board of directors and supported by its committees and specific interest groups (SIGs). Their ultimate aim is to serve as a resource to Florida’s EMS educational community.
