Female Engineering Scholarships

STEM is a programme focused on the concept of teaching students in four specific sciences — science, technology, engineering, and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied manner. STEM incorporates the four disciplines into a coherent curriculum system focused on real-world implementations, rather than teaching them as distinct and isolated subjects.

It’s certainly no surprise that women in science and engineering are also vastly outnumbered by their male counterparts. What’s new: More universities and employers are prioritising women’s participation in STEM industries, and they’re making financial contributions to support it. As a result, female students seeking scholarships have an increasing number of choices. Women enrolled in full-time tech-related degree programs were uncommon only a few decades ago. Back then, most women were expected to learn art and other subjects and they did not get the opportunities to showcase their talent in other areas, unlike men.

In today’s time, women are giving good competition to their counterparts in the tech industry. They are contributing as much as their counterparts in making new inventions and advancing the tech field. However, women continue to occupy a lower share of high-power posts, and where they do, they are paid less than men in comparable positions.

As a result, several organisations provide grants and scholarships to women who choose to pursue engineering careers. Since an engineering degree is one of the most expensive to earn, a student’s course load can be so heavy that she is unable to work during her busy semesters. And in order to help such talented female students who are passionate about technology, find a suitable opportunity, we have brought a concise list of 10 scholarships!
