Edna Blum $5000 Scholarship for NY Residents

Here we are again with an amazing scholarship opportunity organized by UNCF and sponsored by the Estate of Edna M. Blum. The following Edna M. Blum Endowed Scholarship is for NY Residents, and it only targets those students who have any unmet financial need and currently attending colleges or universities throughout the United States. The purpose of starting this scholarship is to help students with unmet financial requirements or from financially weak family backgrounds and can not afford to acquire or continue their education. The scholarship will provide an award of up to $5,000 to the most deserving student contingent upon the monetary requirements of the student as acknowledged by the currently attending University or College.

In order to be qualified for the particular scholarship, the candidate must be from the NYC region (one of the 5 Burroughs ONLY) and must be a full-time undergraduate understudy at an authorized four-year college or university. In addition to that, the candidate must be good in academics and must have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Also, the candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident of the united states. The following grant is a need-based grant focused on fulfilling the monetary requirements of the students. This is a one-time grant to be dispensed in November 2021. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is November 3, 2021.

UNCF by now has raised more than $5 billion and helped over 500,000 students. They grant above 10,000 student scholarships, worth more than $100 million, every year, and they offer monetary help to 37 generally Black schools and colleges (HBCUs). What’s more, they fill in as the country’s driving supporter for the significance of minority education and local area commitment. Since their establishment in 1944, they’ve served over two times the number of minorities going to school. The six-year graduation rate for UNCF African American grant beneficiaries is 70%. This is 11% higher than the public normal and 31% higher than the national average for every single African American.
